Brown Betty

Built with stock gain cap/resistors. Aesthetically, I was going for a mix of Fairfield Circuitry and BE-OD vibe. It is also my first attempt at metal stamping.

The BB-OD is an AIAB and it's just what I've been looking for to flog the JC-40 with. It has lots of great tones and shaping controls on tap. My 12yr old prefers the Boss MT-2, but it's a rite of passage for a young boy to love and shred a Metal Zone. For me, the BB-OD goes to 11. I mostly play clean with some modulation here and there, but I love it an don't see it leaving my pedal board.

Thanks again to everyone and the community here for making this pedal possible.

Is that shielded wire going from input/output jacks to the foot switch PCB? If so, nice! I always want to do that on my builds, but I find stripping shielded wire to be a tedious and painfully time consuming task. Your lead dress is immaculate. Front looks nothing short of top-shelf too. Great build, thanks for sharing!

Thanks. Yes. I get 20-22awg shielded wire from ebay. It's "mil-spec" stranded silver plated copper. The braid is very tight/clean and easy to work with, and the wire holds it's shape really well too.

@paniagua Does this pedal emulate the Buxom Betty amp? Or the BE? or both?
The Buxom Betty is my favorite Friedman amp. I use the UAD model for it quite a bit but I'd love to see him build a "Buxom Betty Junior" some day.
