This was a very straightforward build, other than difficulty sourcing a 0.68 uf electrolytic. I subbed in a 1 uf, which seems to work fine. I went with shielded cable because "superdistorter".

First time using bare bus wire from board to pedal. I like that and have already wired another in similar fashion.

I really didn't expect to like the circuit; I was mostly building it as a toy. As it turns out, some of the lower gain settings are overdrive-y and quite nice.

Thank you! I just use an anvil. If you're not trying to stamp the sides (like in/out or 9V), the little 15-pounder from Harbor Freight works just fine.

edit: I should probably mention that I use some fairly thick aluminum bar stock to support the face from the bottom while stamping. The lid just goes on the anvil.
