CD4007 as (Discrete?) OpAmp

I've been hashing out a new CMOS overdrive design, and one of my silly self-imposed design requirements is to not use any IC OpAmps. I also wanted a non-inverting stage to drive an inverting amp (ala BluesBreaker), so the gain of both increases in tandem. My solution was to abuse a CD4007 in a way I haven't seen before:

Circuit flow is: Buffer -> N-Inv OA gainstage -> CMOS Inverter gainstage -> active Big Muff tone control and BJT output driver.

So far I have the "discrete" opamp portion of this breadboarded, and to my suprise it works (but for how long?).
Has anyone done something similar before? Should I expect this to become a smoke machine while onstage?

Screenshots were taken without running analysis, so no DC voltage labels. Vref at +/- inputs is ~4.5V in LTSpice and reality.
