This all started with a wishlist post about the “The Noise”. I felt like a copycat effect was doable using the daisy seed. But along the way, I built a workflow where I tell AI what I want to do, compile and flash, try it out with my guitar and amp, and repeat. I realized I could make any digital effect I wanted to now, so I started with something I’ve wanted since I started doing DIY pedals.
Features
This took a lot of iteration. It was easy creating the basic functionality, but tweaking all the controls to “feel right” is where the real work was.
I ripped off the planets concept and named this after a dwarf planet.
For the build, I didn’t want to bother with wiring off-board controls, so I was limited on where I could layout the controls. I like offset layouts, which led me to this configuration. I used this LMS limited enclosure. I connected the LEDs backwards like a jackass at first, so this has been boxed twice.
I’m sure some people would think I’m full of crap if I didn’t record a demo. I’m not set up for making nice demos, but I think this is good enough for now.
Features
- 3 Modes: synth filter, wave fold, phaser
- All modes are envelope controlled with playing dynamics
- Expression control input to override the envelope follower.
- 128 presets accessible via MIDI PC 0-127
- CC control for LEVEL, SENS, FREQ, RES, EXP, MODE, and BYPASS
