Chalumeau LED Question

I want to put the LED down by the foot switch instead of up between the knobs. It occurred to me that I could probably put a jumper between the LED pads by the 9v in and then the current will go through the CLR and I could just install the LED anode to the SW pad and the cathode to the switch itself.

Is that correct, or is my late night mad scientist thinking more mad than scientist?

You could or simply just add wires to extend the LED

That’s what I figured. I was just tired and wanted to check. Don’t know why it’s never occurred to me before. I almost always out LEDs off the switch instead of the board, probably could do this pretty much all the time.

I suppose it could put the power to close to something or cause noise. Maybe I should pull it out of the box and see where the trace is routed.
