SOLVED Chaos Machine noise

So, I'm having an issue with my new build of the Chaos Machine.

The build went smoothly enough, but there is a distinct whine/noise coming from it.
Two, distinct noise, in fact.

As you'll see in the video here, when I roll up on Mix A there is a sort of wind noise.. I don't know how best to describe it, but it almost sounds like wind through leaves on a tree?
The more I roll up Mix A, the more it comes through, and it is affected by the Intensity A knob.

When I roll up Mix B, I get a louder shriller noise.
Again, best way I can describe it is like a forest full of cicadas.
And again, it's affected by rolling up Intensity B

You'll hear it better in the video.

Could this be down to the wiring of the expression jack?
I think I've seen elsewhere here that it sometimes is a problem. It's wired with plain old silicone jacket monocore 24g hookup wire.

Also also.
I can figure out if the expression jacks just aren't working, or I'm connecting them incorrectly from my expression pedal (Boss FV-60).
There isnt and good guide or manual to tell you how to connect it properly, but I would have assumed it's a stereo (TRS) cable out from the expression pedal and I to either of the exp. Jacks on the chaos machine pedal.

So, any help there?

Also also also, since the expression pedal I have has two output jacks, would that mean I could connect both to both exp jacks on the chaos machine?

Basically, I'm lost with this thing, but the more pressing issue it the noise.

I've confirmed good clean solder joints, no bridges on the board and all hookup wiring is confirmed good.

So, I figured out the issue.

The issue was me..
Apparently, I forgot how to read, and put a JRC386 where the JRC/NJM4558 was suppose to go..

What's more, I spent nearly 2 hours with an audio probe and concluded that IC3 (TL072) was defective without ever noticing the 386 staring at me in the face.
And, because I had soldered the ICs in, i got the fun job of desoldering (and wasting) a chip I didn't even need to.

about 45.3 seconds after that job was done with a new socket and new TL072, is when I noticed the 386 sitting there like some child mocking me.

So, got that desoldered, and got a minty fresh NJM4558DD from Mouser in there and the thing works beautifully.

Basically, I can be a massive idiot sometimes, haha!

Glad you got it sorted. Nice looking builds. I dig the paint job on the left in your vid. You should hang around and share a few. Your accent sound near. South of Chatt-town?
Definitely south of chatt.
I'm about an hour and a half south of Atlanta.

I really should post more build reports here since the lion's share of the ones I've built have been PedalPCB boards.
I do a lot of that over on my insta (svarturpedals) and over on the diypedals subreddit.

Tomorrow, I'll probably do a mega post of my builds so far here.
