This is a great sounding phaser! Thanks to @Chuck D. Bones for the mods! There's not much to say about the build that isn't already in the modification thread. It was my first extensively modded board, and I was pleasantly surprised when it fired right up!
My 8 year old son has been "advising" me on designs (and learning to clear-coat), and we settled on NASA's old "meatball" logo (extended in inkscape). The moon is a diffuse blue 10mm led taken from a broken Ikea toy, and the satellite rate indicator is a 3mm led. I like the depth/texture of a clear waterslide on a sparkly enclosure (Tayda "Winked Silver").
It goes from slow and subtle to seasick throbbing/spacelasers. I love it!
