I have the exact same problem. I took my cover off, turned the pedal upside down and behold. I am also using the same components that you did, and I have no solution unfortunately. It is a good sounding pedal. It would be nice to get rid of some of the noise. If I discover anything I’ll be sure to let you know and I’ll be watching in case you do.
I have the exact same problem. I am at a loss but came across your post and laughed when I took the cover off, turned it upside down, and it became quieter. I’m using the same components you did, 25 V caps and TC 1044, I was I was going to isolate the output jack today, but after reading what you’ve gone through I’m not very confident it will work. If you do come across the solution, let me know and I’ll do the same. It is great sounding pedal. It would be nice to get it acting less noisy. My connection is lousy at the moment, So, forgive possible similar responses.
It would probably be better to start your own troubleshooting thread.
In general, make sure you have 35v+ rated caps.
In lieu of a new thread, do you have an audio probe setup?
If so, is the noise present at this node?
If it is, try touching a electro cap across D105. Something between 6.8u and 68u, 35v+ rated.
+To anode, -to cathode/ground.
Conversely, use a 1n4749 in d105 as over voltage protection but you must absolutely make sure you have bigger caps
Also. Those power section caps need to be of moderate quality with low/no esr. 6 cent caps may be too leaky.
That’s extremely helpful. Thank you for the reply. I didn’t even expect one, let alone such a thorough one. I do have some better quality caps, but held off on using them after a quick scan of the schematic, I decided to use cheaper ones in the power section they are 25v. I used poly film in the audio section that are of questionable quality, but 50v. I didn’t consider leakage, I don’t have an audio probe, but I should make one. I’m quite new to the hobby, and still have a lot to do, learn and purchase.
Work is really picking up for me now as a landscaper, so it may be a while till I get to it unfortunately, but I will let you know how it turns out when I do.

well, my hip hurts so I took time off work, I made a probe and poked at the node you suggested, but didn’t hear the noise, though my set up was make shift, and wasn’t using my amp, I just decided to change the caps to the best I had on hand, and I discovered the trim pots I ordered are crap. I have it running on straight of my house batteries 13.5 ish volts May upgrade the one last cap and definitely order a quality trim pot… but its quite quiet. Thanks again jwin! Very much appreciated
