Hello! I recently completed the Close Second Distortion (Colombo JMP-1). This is the third Colombo clone I’ve done, the others being the Rocker and Plexi Breed. I really like this pedal, it sounds great for hard rock/hair metal. In front of my Super Reverb it sounds terrific. It has a very amp-like feel to it, consistent with other Colombo circuits. I did not do any modifications to it, I can’t recommend it enough if you want a nice distortion sound that doesn’t sound boxy. Enjoy!
