Another impulse curiosity build for me. I've always played fender or fenderesque amps for guitar so yet again I have no basis to talk about how voxy this thing is. I can say that it sounds very good. There's more tonal shaping to it than I was expecting. Has me wanting to go futz with an ac30 and compare. Maybe I could've been a Vox guy had I given them a chance. The expected jangly clean is there, the gain knob sounds nice all the way through the sweep to me. I look forward to stacking this with some other dirts. I played it into the front of my blues deluxe with my tele, baritone w p90s and bass vi. It was not my intended use and it won't come as a surprise but I do not like it much on p bass through my ampeg. I liked it enough to order the Bobby though.

It's too cold for spray paint but I can get away with clear coat if I warm the can a little so it got the vinyl ai art on bare aluminum. I forget what the prompt was for this image. Something apocalyptic. I did give it this picture of the St. Helen's eruption to combine with the text.

The results I got for the phrases I used for this pedal weren't my favorite. So it got a somewhat random selection.

In an effort to be obtuse, I used Marshall knobs. I also liked playing on the copper thing by using every available metal except for copper.

I've been thinking of trying this build out, I too never really played a vox and I played around with positive grid spark and liked the ac30 model on there quite a bit. Been waiting for a built report on it to tip the scales.

Love the iconic pic of st. helens, pretty famous one, I was only 6 months old when it happened but mom told me the story of how we were driving down I-5 as the ash just started falling on the car. Often wonder what it looked like when it had its top...
