Just finished the copper clad and, wow, this thing rips. Cleans up well with rolling the volume pot back and is very reactive to picking dynamics. Stack it before a tube screamer and you get some nasty tones that can get almost get to octave fuzz territory.
Without a doubt the easiest PCB on this site to fit in a 1590A enclosure. I even used a 9mm short leg pot to get even more room. Very low component count, too, with everything being easy to source. I didnt differ from any components value or type, but I did have to change out the first 2N5088 due to too much noise and changed the caps from metal film to box while I did the transistor swap. I know some like to change diode and use a 1n34a in lieu of the D9e and a 5mm red diffused LED in lieu of the 4148, but I haven’t tried that yet.
Will definitely build a few more of these in the future.
