Welp, I can’t figure this one out. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas I am open for them.
Of the three MbP builds I did I thought this would be the breeze but turns out the other two were great and this one has issues…
I thought it was a bunk lm311 but it’s not.
With the range all the way down everything works, I get a nice chorus to somewhat slap back delay thing going on. But the second I bump the range up a millimeter the siren comes on like a kids electronic kit project #53 fire engine siren. Except, I don’t want that lol. None of the trims make it go away the only way it stops is by having the range knob at zero.
I looked with a magnifying lense and even though the board looks filthy there are no micro bridges. I checked that all my caps are positive to positive and they are. Also checked that all the electro caps are correct values and they are. I don’t know enough about these other chips to know which one might be the cause of the siren but I also get a similar siren thing going on in my Flock build (another story) I was about to throw in the towel and just add this to my small pile of no go boards (only 3) so not too bad but I thought I’d check here first maybe it’s something simple I’m missing. I looked on the MBP forum but the only fire engine siren I could find was related to a different flanger and that person has the wrong cap values.
I was really hoping to love this mistress but not so much yet.
Another thread on here talks about ground loop issues maybe I should try using the other in out connections. This pedal has two ways to wire the in outs.
