DAM Dope Priest…

So I spent most of the morning trying to look into the Dope Priest, and I am confused as a really confused guy who just won a contest for being more confused…

I see mentions of a Foxey Lady, a “1977 Foxey Lady” (what!?), a Ram’s Head, Green Russian…black box, blue box…

So what’s the story? What are the differences compared to a BMP? Does anyone have the schematic for the 70?…

the foxey lady was more or less a violet ram's head ... the guy over at DAM gave it more bass and less gain like a green russian has. schematics are over in the mod thread and probably the wayback machine if kitrae is still down

Here's David Main's original Dope Priest announcement from the D*A*M forum, which has some information about the pedal:
Take 3. D*A*M Ram Head -> EFE XB-70 -> EFE Dope Priest. Same shit just a little more refined with an air of maturity, if the Ram Head was a bottle of Jim Beam the Priest is a bottle of Wild Turkey. As with the XB-70 the core circuit influence here is my slowly decaying 1977 Guild Foxey Lady though this time the circuit blue print is tailored to my own ears and tastes rather than just replication. I've taken some influence from V3 Sovteks and the Triangle Muffs, basically lowered background noise, tighter projection and greater ability to cut through dense frequencies. It ain't no reinvention of the wheel just the delivery of sounds that I dig in regards to this circuit type presented in way that appeals to me more than our past incarnations.
Perplexingly, the one in David's pictures is clearly not the DP-93, even though it has a red LED. 🤷‍♂️
