Danae Overdrive Subtle Blooming Fuzz when Playing

I recently built a Danae Overdrive. I built it on a breadboard. Then I built one in a mockup Tupperware bowl (yes, I did). And then built another one in an aluminum enclosure thinking maybe the leads were too long. The mockup and enclosure versions both use a PCB for the Danae. All three share the same issue. There is a faint fuzzy sound that blooms and quickly decays, which is almost the same amount of time from attack to bloom to decay. I understand that the Danae is blending two different signals, and the pedal it's based on is enclosed in brass.

The red pcb in the photo is a JFET boost. I have removed the JFET boost from the mockup and the breadboard version never had it. I had this grand idea to have it in the finished pedal and switch it before and after the Danae. Sounds awesome... except the slight blooming fuzz. I have switched out the 51pF cap at C5 in the schematic for a 100pF. I have also tested a TL072 in place of the OPA2134. I have also tried three different amps and three different guitars as well as turning off anything near (that I could find) that could cause interference, TVs, laptops, LEDs, lamps, fans, AC, etc. Also, there is a seperate small pcb that is exclusively used as a grounding bus. Power was ran directly in the mockup and in the enclosure version, power was daisey chained from the JFET. Again, no JFET boost on the breadboard build.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
