Data Corrupter issue

I built two of these recently. The first works flawlessly. The second works with one small issue. The Osc Root 8-way rotary switch makes a high pitch whining noise in certain positions. I can get it to stop by turning the switch to the "in-between" positions. Almost like it wants to be in those positions. Anyone ever run into this?

I've had an issue with those adafruit-style rotary switch in the past. QC doesn't seem to be spectacular with these...either that or they're sensitive to heat.

Could be a new switch could help. Can't say for certain. If you pull the switch, I recommend seeing if you can snip the leads on the top side first...mostly so you don't have to break every connection simultaneously. Otherwise it'll be a real PITA and you might have issues with pads breaking loose.
