DC jack help

I've invested in a project that called for this DC jack which is now discontinued:

Jack 1

I've researched replacements and it appears this one has the same dimensions and layout:

Jack 2

My question is, the schematics are showing a slightly different pin numbering and I can't figure out if they're exactly functioning the same:

Jack 2:

Does it matter than pins two and three are swapped in these images or is that functioning the same?

Thanks for your time

That's a common/standard DC jack.

We're only seeing half of the story here. My guess is that although the pin numbers are swapped in those images, they would also be swapped on the image showing which pin is which on the jack itself. (They're basically the same functionally)

Just make sure the center pin diameter matches the power supply you plan to use.

IMO...Nope

As listed on Mouser-links supplied in the OP:

JACK 1 (CON-SOCJ-2155) GravitechJACK 2 (PJ-002A) CUI Devices
Inside Contact Diameter (mm):2.12
Outside Contact Diameter (mm):5.56.5

Mouser's link to Jack 1's datasheet doesn't work; however the link to an image still works: ICD ∅2/2.5, and OCD ∅6.4
It seems Gravitech is no more, as the company's home page is gone.

Looking at the Datasheet linked to CUI Devices' Jack 2 , Mouser's is dated from 2019, while the manufacturer's website's linked datasheet is dated 2022.

ALLDATASHEET.NET doesn't even mention Gravitech, but perhaps you can get a similar part from one of the other manufacturers listed:
Apex, Linx, Microchip, Recom, RFSolutions, TE...
However, a few random samplings of the PDFs from the companies listed in the All Data Sheet link above turned up nothing so having one of the other PDF links from All Data Sheet doesn't seem promising.

No matter ^.

Inputting the search string "DC Power Connectors Power Jack/Connector 2.1mm x 5.5mm" on Mouser yielded a possible substitute from Wurth Elektronik:
WE's PDF DATASHEET

While the connector area (2.1/5.5) matches your needs, I didn't check the specs for the solder-lugs, you'll have to do that yourself and make sure it matches up with your requirements. Lots in stock at Mouser, BTW.

Another option on Mouser, the Kobiconn. (Substantial amounts in stock)
ICD 2.1 / OCD 5.5
Kobiconn Datasheet PDF. Again, check pins' configuration for your exact needed specs.

Tayda has this one. PDF Datasheet:
https://www.taydaelectronics.com/datasheets/files/A-4118.pdf
Plenty in stock. Again, check to see if the solder-lugs are the correct size, orientation, spacing.

At 16¢, can Tayda's offering be anywhere near as good quality as the Wurth mentioned above at $1.48 (scaling down to as little as a buck each for 500+), or the Kobiconn at $1.51 each or 95.7¢ ea @ 500 ???

You can find 2.1/5.5 DC jacks on Amazon... if you want to roll those dice.
