Final demo of the day is a tone demo of my "TeleTron" build documented in this thread.
These pickups sound amazing! It's clear why in the world of Filtertrons, there's TV Jones, and then there's "everyone else".
Nothing else out there really comes close to how authentic these sound to vintage Filtertrons. And they have so many different options to suit any guitar or taste.
I just went with the classic vintage Filtertron model. Just sticking them in a Telecaster gives them such a distinctive sound, a lot of which comes from the steel bridge plate and pickup placement.
This is a bit of a niche guitar and not a sound I would reach for everyday (yes, I can see @HamishR frowning at me now for saying that....
)
But super glad I built it and it definitely scratches an itch for me!
(And I think it looks pretty cool too!)
