Did I install these BC109's backwards? This Colorsound Overdrive has no gain

Did I install these backwards? This Colorsound Overdriver clone has no grit at all. It gets loud, just not any hair like a regular OD (lightspead, nobels, etc).

PS. Please forgive the use of Carbon Comps - I just happen to have them in all the right values and the pedal is pretty quiet

No looks correct emitters with the metal tab to the right possibly an incorrect resistor value can't really see your resistor colour bandings they're very difficult to see

Flip them so the tab is at 10 or 11 o’clock. I just completed the same build, and had to go opposite what I first thought. The TO-92 layout is EBC, and those BC109’s are CBE, with the tab at 3 o’clock. Cant tell from the pic, but I hope you used sockets...
