A quick explanation of those funky names:

1M and 20k are the values of the pots. They indicate total resistance between lugs 1 and 3

W refers to the taper, which is how the resistance changes as you turn the dial. Below is a graph showing the difference between a B taper (linear) and a W taper.

I'm going to flat out guess that the C refers to the reverse of how the W pot operates, meaning that there will be a "hump" over the linear graph at first and then dip underneath it toward the top.

Regardless which one you actually do buy the beginning and ending resistance is the same. You could get away with B taper pots here but may need to be a bit careful dialing in the sound you want. It may get very sensitive at times. Just make sure whichever you do buy has pcb mount lugs on it. If you can find these exact pots at a decent price the go for it, otherwise a linear (B) taper is a safe alternative. Good luck!
