Very cool stuff from Dirt Monger. This is a clone of the Arion Metal Master pedal from the 80's. Which can basically get HM-2 tones. This has trim pots for Mid Q and Mid frequency to get it almost spot on to an HM-2. It also incorporates a Klon style buffer to squash the oscillation feedback that happens with true bypass high gain pedals.

I really like the way it sounds. With the gain dialed back just a bit it really sounds good. As well and diming all knobs. And, it has a butt load low end on tap which I think it gives it a slight advantage over a HM-2.

I got a can of this Montana crackle spray paint for Christmas so I've been trying to experiment with it. This is, I think, my 3rd try with it. And it still doesn't look as nice as I'm aiming. It's tricky to get the dry times especially with the crappy Pennsylvania weather. Still looks cool though.

Recommended build if you like that chainsaw tone.
