This was a fun one. MP16B in Q1 and 2 AC125. I've been noticing a lot of crackling/high pitched noise now..sometimes it doesn't happen. Sometimes it does. It's my first germanium build so I'm not sure if that's normal but it's a monster of a fuzz.

Shout-out to @swelchy for providing the Transistors and some other goodies for me.

I've only got experience with the NPN version, but you shouldn't be getting high pitched noise or crackling with a DT. Might want to check and see that all of your transistor legs are connected properly since they're not soldered. Maybe try rechecking and reflowing every component. There aren't too many so it shouldn't take long.

thats exactly what it was. reset them(kind of a pain) and all the noise was gone. im almost tempted to just solder them in now.

Right on. It's usually something simple, glad you got it going.

Might as well soldier them in if you like how it sounds and are going to use it.
