J jwin615 Well-known member Yesterday at 8:53 PM #2 Probably won't make a huge difference. I'd just go middle of the road with what you have. 220-250ish at most. You don't necessarily want it to hit saturation...

I guess it just depends on the circuit. Like for a Fuzz Face it is more noticeable I guess. I had thought about putting a switch with 2 transistors on there, a high and a low, but don’t think I will. I suppose I could always socket it and experiment, but I thought I might just skip all that for this particular build.
