Not limiting to just one, but I think it would be super rad if there were some drum synth modules offered up.
Specifically:
-Synare
-EHX 5300 Space Drum/5380 Super Space Drum
-EHX 5360 Electronic Crash Drum (AKA Crash Pad)
-EHX Rolling Thunder
-EHX Clap Track
-EHX Sonic Boomer
The Synare 3 is the quintessential electronic snare sound in many ways. Probably best known for being used by Joy Division, but to me it shines as the heart and soul of plenty of Devo and Gary Numan recordings, plus it’s just an all around good time. helensson.com is the only place offering pcbs for a Synare project rn, but it’s a whole kit deal and kinda pricy, plus there are supposedly some issues with the boards according to a few forum posts I saw. Just imagine building an array of 4-6 of these and making some piezo trigger pads for them to have an awesome set of E-Rototoms!
The EHX units are pretty tricky to find info on, and it might be more in @Scruffie and co.’s wheelhouse over at Lectric FX since they already dabble in the non-pedal side of EHX esoterica, but they’re just awesome units and they’re great to trigger from either a trigger pad, or a clock generator/analog sequencer. Some are a bit more out there than others, but man are they fun!
