To cut a long story short, I work away every other month, and for the past two years, before I arrived at work I had to isolate in a hotel for around a week, and get regularly tested to make sure I didn't take Covid onto my work site. Thanks goodness I dont have to do that anymore.
As I wasn’t allowed to leave the room I had plenty of time to finally practice my guitar but I also started to take a little sanity box with a fantastic small soldering iron and a small collection of tools.
I used to take a few PCB’s and populate the resistors and capacitors and sockets etc. This also helped saving time when I was home. I didn’t really finish many and ended up with a huge back log of semi completed ones.
Here is one that daunted me. The size of the board and number of components was a bit scary. Bit when you realize that its just two of the same boards its more about repetition than anything else.
Apart from one small issue with the switching Jack the build went perfectly and thanks the Spencer @amplifyfun for the great UV print.
Sounds amazing both independently and each side stacked on top of each other.
Going to have a lot of fun getting to know this one.

@Harry Klippton oil and gas! (Dont hold that against me!!)
I wok on a saturation diving boat. I am in charge if the chambers the divers live in. So we had to be extra careful to make sure that they didn't get it.
I normally do a 4week away 4week home rotation. So now have my little kit onboard and take a couple of boards to while away the hours while Im there. Also gives me plenty of time to search for components and have it all waiting for when I get home. Oh and do some work while Im there too haha!

@giovanni, its not as dangerous as it used to be thats for sure. Everything has its risks. We take calculated risks and put a lot of time end effort Into not minimizing risks for everyone involved. That being said the divers are living under pressure where they just cant walk out of it. Its takes on average 5 days decompress from the depths we generally dive too.
There is a great film on Netflix called last breath if you’re interested.

Tidy builds from you, always, and now I know why — it's what you do for a living, pay attention to details!

Cool job, lotta responsibility.

So, I guess you can mark your switched jack troubleshooting thread "SOLVED" now.

Thanks @Feral Feline much appreciated.
It is the little things. There are so many great builders on here there is always something to aspire too. I’m always trying to make it as neat and tidy as possible.
Well spotted, I will change the thread to solved now as it’s working perfectly!!
