I built the pedalpcb version some years back but had a very different rig back then consisting of single coils and a clean fender amp. The pedal didn't do much for me and I moved it on. A couple years ago I got back into humbuckers and marshall amps so I decided to revisit the pedal and evaluate it with my new rig. Glad I did.

I used a smd j202 and biased to 14v. I remember using it in my old rig and felt it didn't do much, but in front of my dirty marshall it's doing something really nice. It has this really nice effect to the EQ that's subtle but definitely there. It's like someone poured honey over the speaker, it's hard to explain but I dig it. I totally get why so many people in the 70s were using the echoplex with the delay off.

What? No marvel theme? Yeah, I'm over thinking about graphics. Also tarrifs are real. So the upcoming builds I have are gonna be bare enclosures with uninspired graphics that are literally just ripped off the commercial pedal. Shout-out to @MichaelW for the enclosure. No film decal on the box and relay bypass.
