CONTEST EOY Gift code Giveaway

CONTEST
Well I hate to be #1 but, I recently acquired a fender super champ x2 head with a bad preamp board. My understanding this can be bypassed and can use as a tube power amp. But I think I’m going to gut it and see what I can make for an amp with the pt/ot chassis and head cab it’s at my brothers still though so need to drive the hour to go get it. Will be my January start project.
I got a steal on one of these in good working condition. Wine red tolex, too. The digital voicing on channel 2 is neat, but I only ever use the clean side. If mine goes out I'll probably just rebuild it as a single-channel amp.

Probably the MBP Rough Cut.

Haven't messed with compressors much so this will be my Big Boy Pants comp build. He had me at "the squishy squish" in the build doc.

I got into "vintage" gshock watched.
Bought a few on eBay. Have to clean them. One I got has bad scratches I need to sand out.

Pedals I got the Indiana series on my list.
What models are you getting in to? I used to have a big collection and now I’m just down to a few.

Waaaaay too many projects:

Finishing my Marshall 3 channel 1u rack preamp from old rack electronics from work. It's almost done, just need to finish the relays with Arduino control
Work on a Fender style 1u preamp. 3-4 channels.
Schutone Univibe 1590a bubblegum pink enclosure
Dm-3 from Dan at Schutone and tap in a delaytion for tap and modulation control
Finish boxing my DEFx Ringstinger and ? flanger in nice wooden boxes with dyed maple face boards

There are so many more. Damn my inability to focus

This is cool. I've been tossing around the idea of building a 3u amp

I have told myself thiugh no new pedal builds unless it’s got a uv enclosure. I’ve mostly got illustrator figured out. Just have a hard time picking the graphics. Leaning towards a sea monster/nautical theme for the majority of my builds.

Ooh ooh, nobody else I know cares about this shit, so check it out: my 13-year-old “wants” to play violin. He just doesn’t want to play violin if you know what I mean. I get it, he sounds awful. The 7th grade orchestra performances have been pretty monstrous—that weird juxtaposition of pain and humor. It’s like aural slapstick. I keep trying to tell him that if he wants to sound any good, he has to spend a lot of time sounding bad.

So I got a couple piezo-to-1/4” mics; I spit shined a dusty old acoustic/electric amp in the basement (replaced a dud pot, glued down the floppy gasket)…now I want to put together some kind of pt2399 circuit to mix with the built in reverb and kinda smear everything out. Hopefully make the grating and groaning a little more bearable until he can start to develop a more consistent tone.

I’m not a delay guy at all so if anyone reading this has any cool ideas… I know there’s a couple staples, but I’m entertaining the idea of something that can also get a little kooky just in case he catches inspiration enough to fiddle around with it some. I imagine I probably will! Pretty psyched about it.
I’d highly recommend you build him a Phase II and show him some Jean Luc Ponty and David Cross era King Crimson

Fun contest, @fig- I'll join in!
My band is excited we're about to release a demo song out of the sci-fi album we're working on- I'm sketching out the artwork today:

I got away with an all DIY pedal chain for this song: PedalPCB Acid Rain> Deflector Reverb> JMK Paralyzer- MBP WaveLord VS. PedalPCB Phaser II

@mckillacuddy Show your son some Ben Mink from FM, and Silver Tractor (Murray McLaughlin), days.

Mink also contributed to Rush output on "Losing It", from Signals; and he tracked on "Faithless" from Snakes & Arrows.
He's a multi-instrumentalist and has produced, recorded or performed with the Barenaked Ladies, Anne Murray, Dan Hill, KD Lang, Mendelson Joe, Prairie Oyster, Raffi, Jane Siberry, Ian and Sylvia Tyson, Valdy, Bruce Cockburn, Murray McLauchlan, Willie P. Bennett, Susan Aglukark, Methodman, Alison Krauss, Feist, Daniel Lanois, Sarah McLachlan, Roy Orbison, Elton John, and Heart.

There's some other great FM tracks, but if interested he can seek them out on his own.

I have a big project that I'm really looking forward to coming up for early-mid 2024.

I'm going to build an initial run of 20 pedals for a fairly prominent Chicago punk band with custom artwork based on their logo and colors and it's going to be named after one of their older songs. All of the profit is going to go to a charity that we decide on, and we're hoping for at least $1,000 or more out of the first run depending on the price and component cost of the circuit we end up choosing. I've made a few variations of the Guv'nor (one ended up being almost exactly the Crunch Box without realizing it, ha) and I'm working on something that would be close to a high-gain Marshall, punk rock, driving sound.

I've already got a few prototypes put together and when I'm happy with a few, I'll then take it up to the band for them to decide which they like, then we'll do the artwork, and start production, social media outreach, etc. They're excited about it, I'm stoked that they are up for it, and can't wait to see how much we can make for the local charities!!
Is it the Shellac Squirrel Fuzz?

I have the 2u/3u enclosure ready. It's going to have a stereo PP 6aq5 amplifier. Shouldn't be too difficult. The flexibility is going to be nice...Not that I haven't been trying to get this stuff done over the past 5+ years (stupid guitar and pedal projects sucking me in).
