Event Horizon, or a Rotobone puts on a space suit

1754924222607.png Would it be correct to say that this part of the Trumpeter pedal schematic works similarly to the Rotobone selector switch?
 
It’s similar in concept, but it doesn’t sound the same, presumably due to the added resistance/impedance from the pot. There is a big difference between the Rotobone with the 22n and the Bone Machine/Mini-Bone with the Bone knob set fully counterclockwise. I’ve had a similar experience with the Rangemaster circuit. Using a rotary switch (like in the excellent PedalPCB Rangefinder) sounds different (and better, IMHO) than using a blend pot (like the D*A*M Red Rooster/PedalPCB Chickenhead).
