SOLVED Extremely low output from Oasis

Hey everybody! I just finished building an Oasis and I have a normal signal in bypass. With the effect engaged though I'm getting a very weak signal. If I max the volume and gain I get a weak but audible signal and all the pots and switches do seem to affect the sound, it's just so weak. Any suggestions for what to check?

Your board looks really tidy so good work there!

Sounds like it may be an incorrect component, may a 47k where it should have been 47R or something like that. First step is to go through each resistor and capacitor to make sure they're the right values.

You also don't have dust caps on your pots. Is there anything between the base of your tone pot and the solder side of the PCB to stop them touching?

Thanks! This is my second pedal build. I made a BYOC Mouse last year and have been itching to do another.

I went through and double checked the color codes on all the resistors and they're all correct. I'll double check the capacitors tomorrow.

I made sure to leave a gap between the bottom of the board and the back of the pot. There's about a quarter inch gap, nothing is touching.

All good. I'm pretty confident that the C9 is the culprit. Get that sucker turned around and you should be rocking!

Yep, that was it! Thanks for spotting it! Mental note made, even when you think you're paying attention to polarity check it again. And again. Haha. Can't wait to give this thing a test at a proper volume tomorrow when the wife isn't sleeping!
