For your review! This is the first set of four I’m currently working on. A huge thanks to @fig for the wire! I’ve always hated stranded wire but this isn’t stranded… well it is, but it’s tinned inside the pvc! Thank you so much! Definitely adds mojo

A huge shout out for @SYLV9ST9R! I gave him a rough gimp mock-up and he really cleaned this up for UV printing!! Thank you so much for your help and patience.

Hugo, yea you Tayda thank you! Your generosity with parts and pieces for the next three sets ( ordering soon) and patience (when I neglected to select the right settings for UV printing.)

Thank you @Mentaltossflycoon for the pink wire suggestion and @peccary for the offer to send some!

Thank you @PedalPCB for running a sale at thanksgiving! I was able to lower my build costs which will translate into a greater donation to Play for P.i.n.k.

Still working on the best way to sell with all profits going to the charity and not messing with my personal bottom line … talking to tax people…

Oh yeah a huge thanks to my wife and daughter for putting up with me!

My goal this for 2022 is 30 sets!

Thanks for reading

Theselook and sound amazing! It was inspirering to read the story being your initiative!

@carlinb17

I'm a little late to this party, but there's a Talkbass forumite you should get in touch with, BartmanPDX

He was raising money/awareness for PCDH19 by holding pedal auctions. The first few times went well, but then the hosting site (Reverb.dotcawm?) and Talkbass changed some policies and it became a PITA to host the auctions and thus the auction was moved elsewhere, then shut down altogether.

Anyway, wishing you utmost success in your endeavour for 2022, as too many friends and family have been lost to the "Big C" scourge.

Thanks for the info! I will definitely look into it. Reverb seemed like the safest area to do this right now, although the new tax changes caused a ton of issues hence forming a company not to screw my personal taxes.... At least I have a funny name Electric Love...

Working on a few more promotion ideas but ultimately it is what it is and I can try!

Obviously before you use anybody's logo or tagline or whatever get permission before anything else! Other than that I love the idea, and if you ever want some ideas for a unique/different circuit let us know. A lot of us here probably have favourite mods which can make a standard circuit "custom". I've modified some circuits heavily enough for them to be considered new. If the King of Tone is considered far enough from being a Bluesbreaker then I'm sure we can get you a circuit good enough to use which will also qualify as unique. I have a 4-knob OD which is a cross between a Tim and a Timmy - it's kind-of a Tim with the boost on with the boost knobs on zero. It's simple, low-parts count, sounds fantastic and is not available anywhere else.

And FWIW Gojira effects make pedals with knobs which from above look like boobies. :) They're actually cartoon robot heads (Bender from Futurama) but they look like what you wanted from above.

Thanks for the info, this project has evolved from where it stated… considerably. The concept wasn’t to reinvent the wheel or create the next big thing, I wanted to raise awareness in an area that I had seen very little in the way of products and awareness. (At least from what I can see) I went with a three knob design because it’s simplicity, fewer parts, fewer screwups, and tayda had a discounted rate for predrilled enclosure helping keep costs down and passing on a great percent to charity. I would love to make a hydra/reverb/flanger /etc but I wanted to try and keep it simple for the first go around. After this set I will see where I’m at and gauge how to proceed. Trial and error with constant try.

I completely agree that low part count should be a priority. After all, some of my favourite pedals use surprisingly few parts yet sound killer. Why make it cost more when it doesn't need to? And of course the charity is the main point.

But I do think that there should be some point of difference in the circuit if only to win over the undecided. It can be close to familiar - probably should be close to familiar, but have a twist. Even if it's simply different diodes for clipping or whatever.

Anyway whatever you choose to do I wish you the best! As long as you are very careful to not tread on anyone's toes you should be a success!

absolutely, there always should be something for someone that draws them in. I appreciate the feedback! I certainly hope I don't step on toes, and certainly don't intend too. This isn't about me, the goal was and is always awareness.
