Years ago I worked in a music store. I was there when the then cutting edge Akai S900 sampler came out (Pretty sure that's what it was called). State of the art, hi-tech, world-class tech. So obviously the first thing I tried with it was to sample a trombone (I am NOT a tromboner) and use it to make excruciatingly deep fart noises. Made the walls shake and got the boss mad.
As for musicianship - well, we saw it all. From very loud and very tuneless to incredibly talented. Usually the most painful were the professional classical musicians. Classical guitarists in particular could be a lot more obnoxious than shredders. I don't miss it!
