so this is my 3rd pedal so far. I built an OCD clone years ago and then built a modded DOD preamp with Mark from Summer School Electronics. Had a couple troubleshooting things come up on this build that I sorted. I wanted it in a 1590bb like the original so I rotated it around (basically upside down) but that abutted the dc jack so I had to ensure that didn’t contact the board. Thankfully read through the forum prior to building and found advice for spacing of the bass/treble pots above the board (I used some cardboard). I also put a strip of cardboard between the bodies of the upper pots and the lower pots just to be safe.

The pedal sounds incredible! I biased to 4v and compared to my “real” Benson Preamp, it’s really close.

Hand painted the enclosure like the Gulf racing livery just for fun. Messed up the spacing for the labels but I’m ok with it.

Definitely recommend the build for those looking for a great sounding preamp pedal. Learning to bias was a fun new skill to acquire.

Now to find the next project!!
