Finishing question

I think it was relatively easy to use for this application. The work is tedious, because the letters have to be transferred and frequently need to be teased off with a pick (like a dentist would use). I do not have a lot of experience with the machine. My wife and girls are the main users. I am going to try it with some other pedals that need labeling. My concern is that the stickers may not weather well; hence, my question above.

Whatever clear protective coat you choose, make sure and test it on a small piece of metal (could be aluminum foil) with some similar vinyl cut outs on it. The solvent in the clear coat MAY affect the adhesive on the vinyl—better to ruin a scrap than your nicely finished pedal! (ask me how I know...)

Let it sit for a few hours after drying to make sure.
