First breadboard project

My very first ever breadboard attempt. I went for the Betty Boost. I’m guessing I’m guessing this was a bit ambitious. I’m about 3/4 of the way through the schematic and I could swear there was smoke coming from my left ear

Ambitious? Ya think? A FuzzFace or RangeMaster might be a good warm-up project. The BB was really jumping into the deep end. Breadboarding is fun and will hone your troubleshooting skills. I think that blue jumper might be in the wrong slot. :ROFLMAO:

Here's a tip when building something that complex. Build and test it incrementally. Get the 1st stage working, then add the 2nd stage, get the 1st & 2nd stages working together and keep adding on.

i was thinking of buying that exact breadboard on amazon. would you rate it a decent amount of stars? i like how you seem to have added a control panel to it. unless that came with the breadboard. hope you post more updates!

See if you can get one that's horizontal. That one looks like all of the parts will fall right off. ?

Here's mine. Control panel is home-brew from an old aluminum shower rail. DC jack is hidden by one of the pots . This is big enough that I can have more than one project going at a time. I'm building up a Repro Fuzz on the far left.

Lol. Probably more than just the blue jumper. I often tend to jump in the deep end and just thrash about a bit till I start swimming. Thanks for the advice Chuck, that does make more sense.

Breadboard didn’t come with that. I whipped that up along with a break out box. Board seems ok though so far
