The control layout is the same as the original and they behave the same.
The reason they
seem to behave differently is because on the original pedal the LP and HP knobs are installed rotated 180 degrees on the pots compared to how you'd normally install knobs on a pedal. The pots themselves aren't oriented differently, the knobs are just on "upside down". The pots are at noon in the pic below.

If you want to install the knobs so they rotate in the typical fashion then you would simply rotate the frequency markings 180 degrees.
