Friedman Pedals - a circuit comparison

Hi everyone.
I read the whole FSB thread, and I'm still confused. Did people settle with using 1N4148? or any particular schottky (1N5817,BAV99,BAT...)?

Does anyone know if the schematic for the BE OD Mini Head are available somewhere?
How does the Mini Head compare to the rest mentioned here?

I found one on sale for 150€ ($160) but I’m frightened of the smt cap removal to measure them. It will arrive next week.

Sorry guys, just reviving an old thread again. I've built a thermionic and it's possible my favourite/most used build. Now I want to do a thermionic deluxe and I stumbled on this thread. What I would like to achieve is a thermionic in one channel and one of the other Friedman designs in the other so there is more variation between the two sides for more versatility.
Problem is I don't know which one to build on the other side. Is the complex drive the most different and easily done within the constraints of the deluxe PCB? Has anyone done this and can recommend which design to do?

The Complex Drive has the lowest gain, so by that measure it is the most different from the Thermionic. As you may have gathered from the above discussions, it's the same basic circuit with a few different component values and one or two knobs missing. What it comes down to is there is a ton of overlap between the various versions. Unless you are using extreme settings, you can pretty well get the same tones from the Thermionic, Brown Betty and Complex. The simplest solution is to build the TD per the Build Docs and use different control settings.

I've been pondering some minor mods to the basic circuit to introduce asymmetric clipping or different tuning of the Tone controls. No sims or breadboard yet.
