Building a Hydra. One board was soldered by pedal PCB. This board was soldered by me. I’m wondering if there’s a way to test it since this is my first one. Like before I populate the rest of this board.

Ask @Robert very nicely for a trace layout and then use your multimeter in continuity mode to check that each pin makes contact with the trace/component pad that it's supposed to.

Don't even need the trace layout.

Set DMM to continuity-BEEP mode...
1) Explore the control subject, ie the one Robert soldered. Find what connects to each pin, make notes.
2) Explore the board you soldered, find what connects to each pin, make notes.
3) Compare notes.

Hey, that’s a great idea. If Robert solders all the hydros then yes it’s from him. I can compare notes.

Good time to learn to read the hieroglyphics. (y)

I wish I'd learned that aspect of the hobby sooner — having basic schematic-reading abilities improved the enjoyment of the hobby immeasurably, don't know how I survived prior.

Print out the schematic, and make your notes on it: True-Blue for Robert's; novice-green for your own. 😜

If that's your first attempt at soldering an FV-1 I'd say you did pretty dang good.

I think you should be good to go. I can send you the trace routing if you want it, but I don't see any issues there.

I had no idea that each EEPROM had to be programmed to a certain effect. I ordered about five different boards that require these in doubles, and then I took all those chips and put them all together in a little container. The more you know

They all carry the same part number, and they carry no indication that they are unique for a certain pedal. I may have to order some more so that I don’t go nuts.

Yep, they come in bags labeled with the project name so you can tell them apart.

You should be able to identify them fairly easily using an Arachnid since it has an 8-position rotary switch to select between the programs.

The Hydra wouldn't be the best choice for identification, it behaves a little differently from the others.
