FV-1

Hi all,

I tried building a leprechaun recently and after troubleshooting extensively I ruined the board. I etched the enclosure and I am happy with the results there. I'm not giving up. I am going to attempt this again but the FV-1 has been out of stock. Is there any indication when this is coming back in stock? Could I attempt taking the FV-1 off the board that I made and install it onto a new board? This was one of my first builds and since I have bought a better iron and my skills have improved. I feel like this is a pedal that I can successfully complete now.

Deja-vu!
Use lots of flux paste if you do try to remove the FV-1.

How bad is the board? I'd rather attempt to salvage a board than attempt to desolder the FV-1, and I'd rather attempt to salvage the FV-1 than wait around for a new batch of FV-1s to be produced.

There's a shortage of chips world-wide right now, and I recall reading somewhere on the forum that the FV-1 will still be a while before it is back in stock.
