Some of you may have noticed this in my media library thing, but I figured I'd share it "properly" here. Behold: my first PedalPCB build from 2022! This is also my first non-kit build (I had previously built two AionFX kits at this point)

The build was pretty straightforward. This enclosure started as a Input/Output Module Kit from AionFX that I added a few holes to. For the art, I airbrushed on my favorite shade of orange as the background. The swirls are a paper design that I made on the PC, printed out and glued on. I didn't like that the cut sides of the paper showed as white so I used a sharpie to blacken those edges up nicely, prior to gluing. The sealant spray I used doesn't like sharpie, so you'll notice a bit of bleed off the edges of those swirls. I didn't hate it enough to start over :)

Being my first (mostly) non-kit build I learned a few good lessons. The offboard wiring was recycled wire from my home's CAT5e network cabling which mostly worked well though there was one wire that had a hidden break in it which was annoying to pinpoint. I now use fresh wire for my builds!

I had some trouble with the socketed transistors, until I learned about making the transistor legs "wiggly" so they seat nicely into the sockets.

All in all, an excellent introduction to the world of PedalPCB and non-kit building. As for the pedal itself, it sounds great! My only complaint is that switching modes via the switches makes a bit of a popping sound, but once I found my favorite setting I don't switch it anyway, haha.
