hi, i am really strugglng with this one. It's my 2nd attempt and it is still not working. I am not an experienced builder at all but i have already built a dozen of Fuzz/OD with success.
I have +9v at the input of my board, but the green leds are not lit. The Red led is ok. When i try to probe i go IN - C1 - R4 ok but nothing in R6 is this normal ?
I measured DC at the opamp.
Pin1 1.26 / Pin2 2.40 / Pin3 3.85 / Pin 4 to 7 = 0 / Pin8 1.26

I guess there is something wrong with the IC

another question, if i want to test the board without the switch, is it ok to leave MUTE unconnected, Connect SW to OUT and BUFFER to GND ?

Could you possibly post a pic of the board with offboard connections as well? This board has peculiar wiring, so it could be just as simple as that.

You also have to cover the LDR/LED assembly while testing the circuit to prevent the intrusion of light other than the LED.

When you say probe, I'm assuming you mean audio probe?

However, looking at the signal flow in the schematic, R6 is right after Q1, a J113 transistor, which might be where the problem lies. You should be getting signal on pins 3 and 2, and then again on c4 at least.

Not sure if you should be getting any signal on R4, as it's part of the power supply unit.
