Gear demo recording setup

I'm in need of a new way to record demos. Whatever Google did with the last pixel update seems to have fucked me out of being able to use either of my interfaces as wired mics with my phone.

Up until now, I've just been using the native Google camera app and either the Joyo Momix or Topping e2x2 OTG. Is there any gear you'd recommend for someone just wanting a quick, easy way to throw down pedal demos occasionally?

I'm not looking for anything fancy- just a way to record audio and video simultaneously without having to manually sync anything up. I prefer to record the audio direct, and would like to keep doing that
 
That's weird. I would think at least one, if not both, were class compliant. Did they change the camera app?
If so, you could download the apk of the old version of the app and turn off updates.
OpenCamera will let you select the audio source as well
