General Tso - Capacitor Swap (33nF to 22nF)

Hi all.

Just wondering if I can have some technical help in regards to swapping these capacitors for 22nF ones:

I missed out on purchasing these when I was doing a bulk order, and I have 22nF caps on hand.

I’m still wrapping my head around reading schematics, but am I correct in saying these are coupling caps? Will reducing the value to 22nF cause any issues, or will it be fine?

If someone could assist, that would be amazing.

Thanks - Keria

Coupling caps, as I understand it, connect sections of a schematic along the signal path.
So, no, those you've circled aren't couplers.
Caps C4 and C10 are couplers.

If you've got some 10n caps on hand, if they'll fit you can stuff both leads of the 22n and 10n into the PCB's pads; if only one cap's leads fit, then solder the 10n to the 22n...

...Kind of like how these two blue electrolytics are soldered together and populating one spot on the board:

Parallel caps sum, so you'll have 32n, which will be close enough to the 33n spec'd.

Just to clarify, I wasn't suggesting using electrolytics for the 10n and 22n ! 😹

Always good to have a broad range of values in the parts stash... and it makes shipping-charges worthwhile.
