Getting out of a funk

Saw a cop pick up one of these signs at a flop house on OP Live. I went to eBay and found the exact same sign from a seller in China. BION it's made a huge difference as far as enjoying life, regardless of really lousy weather.

Just the realization that I can 'PICK' an attitude instead of just being subjected to the tides of life was liberating.... Try it, it works.

Magnets under the sign hold it to the hood..... wanted to put it somewhere where I'd see it often.

ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING PICK A GOOD ONE.JPEG

Hey, I've been a science nerd and introvert/loner all my life, yet I still need social interaction to feel fully alive. Work on making new friends if you can, find something you have a passion or interest in, and do spend some time w/ people who also like it. E.g., exercise, volunteering, playing music, WHATEVER. Also eat healthy food, too. And talk to your doctor, I myself now use modest anti-depressants - it's just about the setpoint for your brain chemistry, nothing to be ashamed about. I wish you good luck. I always remind myself of the saying "it's not the falling down that matters, it's the getting back up".

And it also is winter, as others here have noted.
I appreciate your words.

I go to the gym regularly but there's no interaction with people here. Obviously not talking to women either. Everybody seems to be 25!

As for playing music, I'm in a cover band that plays a crappy dive bar. I hate it. It seems everybody I know has no time to practice and rehearse. I hate winging it, we look like fools when the drummer doesn't even know how The Joker starts.
As for performing solo, I could do it but I haven't been able to write a song in years. Can't write music anymore, let alone lyrics. Tom Waits I am not.
You need to live life to write songs. I simpy exist between work, the grocery store, the gym, the local coffee shop and my tiny studio apartment full of music gear I never use.

However, I wake up every day full of positive energy and a smile on my face. Just have to plough through until something gives.
