Green machine mods aiming for the Ts808HW

Hey everyone,
I’m about to put together a green machine and I’m wanting to use the DOM for a TS808HW I played one recently and it’s a monster.
The only thing is I’ve noticed some discrepancies and the numbered parts are in a different order so far as I can tell there’s one difference in the Resistors and one in the capacitors. Any insight into where these go would be wonderful, one other thing I was wondering is if there’s a clever way to make the clipping LEDs a switchable mod.
I’m going to attach the DOM for both side by side so you don’t have to hunt it down!

That 2m2 is a pulldown resistor. Chances are, the other BOM /schematic just doesn’t have one. TS808 HW= handwired. Also, you kind of already built one if you in fact built one.

Haven’t built it yet ! But yeah I just loved the HW so much so that was my aim as far as components.

Also there seems to be the same amount of resistors and capacitors each with one discrepancy so I’m not sure.

One of the BOMs has two 47µF caps and a 100nF cap, the other a 47µF and a 100µF. I suspect that both use a 47µF cap as a filter for the VREF and one has a 47µF in parallel with a 100nF cap as the main 9V filtering while the other just uses a single 100µF. Both methods are pretty common in these kinds of circuits. You will often see a 100µF in parallel with a 100nF cap as the main filter as well. In a TS it won't make much difference any way you do it.


This is from a TS-808 style pedal schematic. This is probably what is in the first BOM you showed. C101 could be 100µF and you could leave out C100 if you wanted. I doubt you would hear any difference.
