Green screamer build report

Finally built a tube screamer… I’ve never actually put one together until now… Threw in a clipping switch between stock ,no diodes and infrared LEDs… had to finish up with a cheapo HF iron I had on hand because my station crapped out..

Trying to think if I've ever tried one without any clipping diodes. How does it sound? That tube/condom man looks awesome

Funny enough , I didn't have and dpdt on/on so I was thinking dang I don't have the parts to do what I wanna do... then It occurred to me the diodes would be outta circuit and that may be a cool sound.. It indeed is not bad... essentially turns it into a clean boost.... Could be very useful for stacking into another pedal this way.. Didn't get to do a full test... only with my crappy bench setup to make sure it fired up , but I can tell when a pedal is going to sound good with my real pedalboard setup.

I also didn't have any JRC4558's so I reached for the pricey dual op amp..OPA2134PA
