WHY? Why would someone ship me a copper colored roller bridge with a 4mm hole when the listing says gold roller bridge with 6mm post hole?

WHY did they waste my time and their freight dollar$? I am simply flabbergasted that this is the THIRD RETURN in A WEEK for 'not as described'

WHHHHYYYYYYYYYYY? Someone please talk me down before I completely implode. Whoops. Too late. Implosion.....

Did you zero your caliper?

First question is where are you ordering from?
I bought it from a "US seller" in Walnut, CA. Magically, it would seem, it was shipped from China. They even faked a train wreck in the shipping notification to explain the delay in the "free 3 day shipping". My next step up in price is an additional $60....

Most being the key word in their posting!!
Well it says "6mm" not 4 under "most". The finish is so 'not gold' that the screws and posts don't match the bridge, and it looks nothing like what they pictured so this one is going back and they're footing the bill. Other references to the post in other listings at more reputable luthier supply sites are "M4" and "M8" being Gibson and Epiphone respectively....

Here I thought I'd found a thread about the ELS Grumble Skuzz!

Also available as the Propolis Fuzz right here on PPCB. Maybe take a break from guitar-land and build a cool uncontrolled fuzz!

I'll tell you some of those guys in China can be pure thieves. In response to the dispute I filed for 'not as described or defective' they sent a message "Dear friend, close the dispute and I will send you some refund".

Yeah, right. PT Barnum said 'there's a sucker born every minute', but that's not me.....

My response "Send me a return label so I can be refunded in full for this pile of cr@p you sent me, JERK"

:ROFLMAO:

Sadly, what you've experienced is only the tip of the iceberg...

... and it goes deep.

Still, there are good vendors and deals to be had from China. My wife has a system for checking vendors' feedback ratings and slew of other criteria before she'll purchase something on TaoBao. I've got some excellent Davies 1900 knob-clones with metal inserts and set screws; popped PCBs of various circuits that worked well (just stick 'm in an enclosure!), tools and parts... I did get a bunch of jack-shaped objects that bent like melting butter if you looked at them the wrong way, or the right way. They were... execrable, unusable even in my own builds.

They don't want bad ratings, so some will bend over backwards to make you happy, but you can't get refunded before you leave a bad-rating... and the scammers will just open a new "store" under a new name and keep on scamming...

I've been shopping eBay since the late 90's!!! I have about 2100 purchases I've made. I think I've come across every crook in the book, lol. We have crooks here in the USA too, I had one try to cheat me out of a tube amp, got my refund.....

Yeah, I wouldn't close the claim until I had money in hand either.

It seems that Chinese parts sales are managed by a MLM where every seller is racing to the bottom on razor thin margins for buyers to purchase the junk from them, not the guy next to them. Claims and bad reviews = falling behind the other guys.
