Guardian OD

Last one of my Fall batch that was left to box, now that I had time to get them drilled in my friend’s shop. This one is actually for his nephew as a Christmas present, and I wanted something nice to complement his Spark amp and have an analog OD before going in the digi signal chain. From my readings, the amp should take it well, and it could be an entry to the pedal world down the line for this young man ;).

Went with a different route from the OG graphics wise, as I’m more of a peace and love than war guy, and to reflect to a time where Canada was more into peacekeeping missions (hence the blue helmet reference). This one also is UV printed at Tayda with the matte gloss option. Briefly tested last night, but will try it out before I hand it over on Wednesday.

Looking top notch and pro, great build! The Tayda printing options intrigue me more and more, looks great and I guess you are happy with result and service?

Yes, very happy, especially since I have no real space to spray clear coat over decals, and I had some issues this summer with some enclosures (cracking, etc.), so going with a service that saves me a lot of hassle I worth the price IMHO. I was already designing my decals with Illustrator, so the transition was easy for me.

I had mostly great experience (due to adjusting to the new requirements), especially now that they have more detailed instructions (especially having white underlay under colors for darker enclosures, as I think they were doing that themselves before). Definitely gives it a more professional look. Depending on graphic styles, I think both decals and UV print can look great, but for my part, I wouldn't go back, especially since the last batch I did are mostly stuff I built for friends. I don't. mind my pedals that are cosmetically imperfect, but as these folks are giving me money (even if it's not a lot ), I enjoy handing them a good looking product. :)
