I've been working on upgrading one of my old guitars and I have a wiring question. I have no real practical reasons for why I'm trying to do stupid wiring tricks, but I figured if you're doing to do it, you might as well over do it. I couldn't find an existing diagram for what I was trying to do. Dimarzario support didn't answer me. The Facebook Guitar Wiring group has yet to approve me joining (2 weeks later), and rather than just pay the guitarelectronics.com guy $50 to figure it out for me, I've wasted hundreds of dollars of my time and now yours
1 - Neck
2 - Bridge & Neck (outside coils)
3 - Bridge & Neck
4 - Bridge & Neck (inside coils)
5 - Bridge
Vol Push/Pull (Neck series/parallel)
Tone Push/Pull (Bridge Phase)
I found one that was everything I wanted minus the series/parallel here: https://d2emr0qhzqfj88.cloudfront.net/s3fs-public/diagrams/2hum1v1pptphase_ep1112_0.pdf so that was my starting point. Alternatively there is another example that is close, but with vol push/pull split: https://d2emr0qhzqfj88.cloudfront.net/s3fs-public/diagrams/2hum1ppvsplit1pptphase_ep11121_0.pdf The DiMarzio wiring colors are:
Red - North Start
Black - North Finish
White - South Finish
Green - South Start
There are certainly a few different ways to make the same connections, but I was hoping for a sanity check to see if I was correct. How'd I do?
