As many of you know, having little people running around in your life makes things complicated.

Specifically the time to jam with real drummers. I have a stash of live drums that I recorded years ago but I have been using those tracks up and have come to the point where I needed a solution. After going down about a month long rabbit hole I landed on a MPC.

I know these are typically used for a totally different type of music but I have a vision (more like a goal) of learning this thing inside and out and being able to make some realistic jazz/rock drums for upcoming recordings.

Circling back to the little people running around. Her first ten minutes with this thing and she’s a natural. Lol. It’s crazy how insanely fast kids pick things up.

FYI- my pile of pedals are going to come in handy for outboard effects. Lol.

It's also amazing that having the example of a father who fearlessly just builds amazing things can influence them.

My father, and his father was amazing tinkerers who always thought first "i could build that" even more quickly than "i could buy that" It's definitely what influenced my fearless maker habit.
