How to give Bastion (Rook) more gain?

So, I'm looking at the schematic trying to figure out what to swap out if I were to modify the Bastion to give it a little more gain....

Would it be replacing R12 (10K) with a higher value resistor?

Swap that A500k gain pot with A1Meg. You'll still be able to get all the low gain tones but roughly twice the gain at the other end of the sweep.

You'll get 6dB more gain with that mod, which will be noticeable but not huge. For a bigger increase, you'll need to reduce R5 to increase the max gain, reduce R8 to bring the min gain back in line (if you use that end of the GAIN range) and increase C4 to preserve the voicing. I'd go 3x to 5x smaller on R5 & R8, increase C4 by the same amount that you reduce R5. Use the nearest standard value parts. You can keep the GAIN pot at A500K or go bigger. It all comes down to how much more gain you want.
