Humbucker + single coil

I've looked online for the answer to this with no immediate luck. I'm building a tele with a humbucker in the neck and single coil bridge. Am I needing to worry about phase issues with this setup in the middle position? I guess my real question is do I need to breakout the 3rd ground wire on the bridge pickup in case I need to reverse the leads?

You might, it depends on how the pickups were wound with regards to North South polarity.
If they are different brand pickups, unless you can find that specs, (most pickup mfgrs don't list it) the only way to find out is wire them up and see if you have phase cancellation issues. Have you already purchased the pickups? Is the Humbucker a shielded braid 2 conductor type?
If it's 4 conductor then it's easy to correct.

I've got a TV jones classic on the way and I'm trying to figure out which tele bridge I want. Either the SD broadcaster I have or buy a new Cavalier. I know he includes a 3rd wire standard which would make things easy if needed

TV Jones makes it easy to change polarity of the Filter'trons so no need to worry about the bridge pickup. Just get the one you want.
BTW TV Filter'tron Classics sound amazing in Teles!
